They tell me it’s the best spa in the area. Over $40 a day for a spa in Mexico, it’s on the high side. With that in mind, It could be better maintained, cleaner, less mud. You see a thin layer of body oil(?) floating on the water in many of the small pools. And I was disappointed that I had to hunt down a employee to turn the jets on in the Jacuzzi. One employee tells me they turn them on every 20 minutes, so I waited and waited for over an hour for the one I wanted to be turned on. (Should I even have to ask?) Also the food service is poor, we ordered guacamole (very tasty) and a pure grapefruit juice, we are brought the guacamole in reasonable time, but had to ask twice again for the grapefruit juice, and was brought the wrong kind (mixed with water and sugar, we asked for pure- just as our friends had ordered). All in all I had a really nice day there, So I gave it four stars. Would give it 5 if it were cleaner and I didn’t have to hunt down an employee to turn on the jets.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was very nice and welcoming. The place was clean, relaxing, and well kept. All the employees were available to answer any questions we had. Overall, it was a great experience.

If you Spanish is weak, the welcoming staff will find someone to explain things to you in English. We spent the middle of the day relaxing on the grounds, making rounds through the different jacuzzis and the temazcal. Very relaxing. The grounds are well maintained with grass for your feet and large trees to shade you. The staff brims with Mexican hospitality, but they are neither pushy nor overbearing on the upsell. The lunch menu is adequate; the spa is the star here.

If you want to spend a day relaxing, this is it. There are two entrances, the first is adults only the second is for families; we had gone to the adults only section. There are several thermal tub, lavender, hibiscus, oatmeal, coffee and mud, which I extra. You are escorted to a table and they will bring over lounge chairs if you wish. You can order from the restaurant or snack bar however, patience is key when ordering. It was a relaxing day and we plan on going back.

I do love this thermal spa , the food is great , the pools are great , the service is excellent! But the rooms aren't really good , they seem very old and outdated, the shower heads sucks , the vanity sink smells bad , and there's no ac . I did notice most ppl just pay for the daily pass and don't spend the night , if you do that you'll be good and won't regret it.. I've stayed here on 3 different occasions and all 3 times I spent 2 or more nights and every room is like this, I also forgot to mention you'll see spiders and bugs sometimes in your room .. the reason I've stayed here a few times is because my parents like it and they know the owners ..

One of my favorite spa day experiences! We went on a Tuesday and were able to get the VIP jacuzzi (definitely the way to go if you're with friends and want the option to drink/eat right at the tub). Four stars for the staff because it took a while for them to come over and take our initial order, but after that they were very attentive. Don't miss the mezcal sauna in the back corner! It's easy to miss but so worth it. And if you're lucky, a staff member will pop in and give you a spritz of eucalyptus oil all over. That was very unique and special

Of all the thermal spa options on the lakeside in San Juan Cosala this one is my favorite. It’s a bit pricey compared to the spa next door but in this location you get good service from the spa staff and the food service staff. The spa pool options are Oatmeal, Red Wine, Lavender, Rosemary, and Jamaica. There is also a central pool that is huge and the space for dining and lounging is very large and capable of handling a large crowd that is present on the weekends. All in all it’s great place and at $800 pesos per guest it’s not cheap like the others are but there are no kids allowed and it’s generally a peaceful place
